Jane Baker is a home economist with more than 30 years experience in food writing, editing and recipe development. She is the marketing director for the Cherry Marketing Institute, a promotion organization for cherries. At CMI, Baker develops promotions and publicity and is responsible for creating new cherry recipes for consumers and food service. Prior to joining CMI in 1989, Baker was food editor of The Phoenix Gazette in Phoenix, Arizona; she also worked for the H. J. Heinz Co. and Borden Inc.
